KEVIN BAUM IS INTERNATIONALLY EXHIBITED AND PUBLISHED PHOTOGRAPHER FROM CHICAGO, IL.
Baum hails from Chicago’s NW suburb of Wheeling, IL. A self-taught photographer, he’s mostly drawn to street scenes, inspired by the likes of Saul Leiter, Harry Gruyaert, and Vivian Maier.
Since making the city my home in 2001, I’ve walked and run its streets on a daily basis. And I’ve always been drawn to people and their stories.
His eye for movement, light, and composition, and sincere empathy for the city and its people can be seen in each of his images. He shoots digital; his style and portfolio is unique, dreamy and diverse. Although “candid street” images occupy much of his focus, his body of work extends to landscapes, cityscapes and architecture.
Today Baum lives in Chicago’s South Loop with his wife Tricia.
